Chicago® Grip Coated Guy Wire with Chain

Description

This Chicago Grip is designed specifically to work with coated guy strand and EHS cable. Klein grips are made of drop-forged, quality US steel and heat treated for strength and durability. The chain, toggle and shackle keep the grip from falling off the cable. The 5-Inch jaw length increases the surface area contact with the cable minimizing cable damage. The sawtooth jaw profile resists galvanization build-up.

Feature

1. Aggressive sawtooth jaw profile resists build-up from galvanized coating on guy strand and EHS cables
2. Equipped with chain, toggle and shackle to keep grip from falling off the cable
3. Designed for cable sizes 0.218 to 0.55-Inch (5.54 to 13.97 mm)
4. 5-Inch (127 mm) jaw length for extra gripping area on stranded cable and spring that closes grip on cable helping to maintain initial position

6. Locking handle keeps jaw open while grip is placed on cable with a hot stick
7. Maximum Safe Load is 8000-Pound (3629 kg)

2. When used on/near energized lines, ground, insulate, or isolate grip before pulling.
